It is best to plant gladioli in groups
Gladiolus comes into its own when you plant the flowers in groups. Planting distances of 10 to 15 centimeters are ideal. The disadvantage of these flowers is that the flowering period is often very short. Two weeks is often the maximum for gladiolus. Then the bed becomes unsightly. If you want the gladiolus to bloom longer than your neighbor in the garden, then all you have to do is use a small and simple trick.

You will not achieve that the plants will bloom longer, but if you plant the bulbs with a delay, you will ensure that the flowers are present all summer long. That means you should start planting the onions in mid-May. And then replanting every one and a half to two weeks until the end of June and beginning of July. The first gladiolus blooms in early August and flowering can be delayed until mid-late September. If you stick to this simple tip, you can enjoy the beauty of the gladiolus all summer long.
